Soliton-Mediated Magnetic Reversal in an All-Oxide-Based Synthetic Antiferromagnetic Superlattice

چکیده

All-oxide-based synthetic antiferromagnets (SAFs) are attracting intense research interest due to their superior tunability and great potentials for antiferromagnetic spintronic devices. In this work, using the La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/CaRu1/2Ti1/2O3 (LCMO/CRTO) superlattice as a model SAF, we investigated layer-resolved magnetic reversal mechanism by polarized neutron reflectivity. We found that of LCMO layer moments is mediated nucleation, expansion, shrinkage soliton. This unique process creates reversed configuration SAF after simple field cycling. Therefore, it can enable vertical data transfer from bottom top superlattice. The physical origin intriguing could be attributed cooperation surface spin-flop effect enhanced uniaxial anisotropy layer. work may pave way utilize all-oxide-based SAFs three-dimensional devices with high-density storage.

Asymmetric reversal modes in ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic multilayers.

Experimentally an asymmetry of the reversal modes has been found in certain exchange bias systems. From a numerical investigation of the domain state model evidence is gained that this effect depends on the angle between the easy axis of the antiferromagnet and the applied magnetic field. Depending on this angle the ferromagnet reverses either symmetrically, e.g., by a coherent rotation on both...

An itinerant antiferromagnetic metal without magnetic constituents

The origin of magnetism in metals has been traditionally discussed in two diametrically opposite limits: itinerant and local moments. Surprisingly, there are very few known examples of materials that are close to the itinerant limit, and their properties are not universally understood. In the case of the two such examples discovered several decades ago, the itinerant ferromagnets ZrZn2 and Sc3I...

Josephson effect in hybrid oxide heterostructures with an antiferromagnetic layer.

Josephson coupling between an s- and d-wave superconductor through a 50 nm thick Ca1-xSrxCuO2 antiferromagnetic layer was observed for the hybrid Nb/Au/Ca1-xSrxCuO2/YBa2Cu3O7-delta heterostructures and investigated as a function of temperature, magnetic field, and applied millimeter-wave electromagnetic radiation. The magnetic field dependence of the supercurrent I(c)(H) exhibits anomalously ra...

The mechanical response in a fluid of synthetic antiferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic microdiscs with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy

In this article, we demonstrate the magneto-mechanic behavior in a fluid environment of perpendicularly magnetized microdiscs with antiferromagnetic interlayer coupling. When suspended in a fluid and under the influence of a simple uniaxial applied magnetic field sequence, the microdiscs mechanically rotate to access the magnetic saturation processes that are either that of the easy axis, hard ...
